Happiness Myths That Make You Miserable with Your Life


Happiness myths can make you miserable with your life and for many people and for many years, happiness is hard to get. What one person says about their experience with happiness may not be the same for another person. Furthermore, a person may not know if they are really happy. The reasons why people are not understanding the difference is because they do not know what happiness really is and how to get it. Therefore, I am going to help you understand what happiness is and how to get it to get rid of the happiness myths.

Being happy is our ability to be all right no matter what a situation is with the ability to move on with your life. staying pleased is accomplishing happiness. Happiness comes from within yourself.


Happiness is not:


· Thinking something is wrong with you

o Everybody experiences different emotions that are unhappy


· Believing other things and reasons will bring you happiness

o Such as money, your mate, kids, promotion, and celebrities


· Things not working out for you

o Things can do the opposite of what you planned, and you can still have happiness


· Believing you cannot have a happy life if

you have faced an unhappy past

o Many people have faced unhappy pasts

and got through the experience fine to

where they are happy today


· Tricking your mind into thinking that happiness cannot be fixed and cannot be changed

o Happiness is never forever. Just as a cup breaks it can be glued back together to be usable again


Find Happiness as a Christian


You first must understand that happiness comes from within. If happiness does not come from within, you will find yourself always craving for more happiness. You can find happiness as a Christian in different ways: such as stoping chasing happiness, removing your own barriers to happiness, practicing looking inwards, building your self-esteem, being present, and taking time to appreciate yourself. Others include:


1. Morning Prayer

  • Build your up with a morning prayer to get you going with positive thinking early before a storm might hit


2. Share the Love

  • As hard as it may be, sowing a seed in someone else’s heart will always help you feel better to be able to help someone who needs help


3. Break From social media

  • Social media can bring on sad feelings because there is not always a lot of happy feelings connected with social media, therefore, taking a break from social media will help you a lot

  • Get to know God during this time


4. Write Your Feelings

  • Writing is always a great idea to help you get your personal and deepest feelings out saying the things you want to say. You will be releasing your anxiety. You can either keep it for through it away after your done


5. Give It to God

  • When they say, “Give it all to God, give it all to him.” Be honest about how you feel when you give your worries to God. He already knows how you feel. Take the control away from you for a change and give control to God.


6. Find a Scripture That Fits

  • Instead of losing your cool being angry, find that one scripture that you can hold on to when you need it to get your through


7. Speak Positive Words

  • Always speak positive words over your situation when others say speaking positive does not work. It does not work because you have got to believe in what you said and that the positive you speak and think will come, because you spoke your words and your thought to God and you know he will deliver.
